Governing
Board Development
Many clients
of The AFRAM Group identified governing board development
as critical for them to accomplish the organization's mission
and vision. One such example was the board of an organization
in the Northeast that felt when the organization's chief executive
office left, it was ill equipped to understand and to discharge
many of their responsibilities that previously had been assumed
by the CEO. A retreat was arranged in the Northwest United
States during which a Principal of The AFRAM Group shepherded
the board and key staff members through a course that defined
specific roles and responsibilities for each of them. Following
that retreat, there was a clear delineation of tasks to be
accomplished with assignments for each of them.
